Northwood offers a half day or a full day program with a long or short day option. While most of our children attend the five day program, there are some spaces available for 2 or 3 day half or full day programs. Extended hours, 7:30 - 6pm, are offered for parents who need child care before and after school. Northwood is licensed with the Ministry of Education. The school runs from September to June with an optional summer camp available in July and August.

Parent & Tot (ages 15 months - 2½ years)

Parents or caregivers are invited to join our program on specified days with young children who are not yet ready to attend on their own. A full range of activities is offered including music, play, arts and crafts, French, gym and an introduction to the Montessori learning materials. Younger siblings are welcome if space permits. Registration is accepted throughout the year as spaces become available when children ‘graduate’ to the other programs.

From the introductory Toddler program, children move into our Preschool program, also referred to as our Senior Casa program. Depending on the campus chosen, the children are either grouped ages 2½ to 5 years together in the Montessori family grouping or in two groups, 2½ to 3½ years for preschool and 3½ to 5 years for kindergarten. The small ratio of 8:1 and the individualized approach to learning along with the enrichment of the bilingual ECE activities give children a strong foundation for grade one

School Age 4 - 12 years (ratio 15:1)
